At our Annual Meeting on June 14, JFS swore in its new slate of officers of the Board of Directors. The new officers are: President Linda Caplan, Vice President Ilene Rosalimsky Bronen, Treasurer Joel Sachs and Secretary Laura Elman.
Linda Caplan is honored and excited to serve as JFS’s next president. “I look forward to increasing JFS’s awareness in the community and helping to support its mission to assist the most vulnerable people in the New Haven area,” Caplan commented. Linda began her affiliation with JFS as a volunteer in the food pantry four years ago. Shortly after, Linda also became a volunteer in the Food4Kids Program, which provides nutritious weekend food for more than 250 New Haven children at risk of going hungry. This will be her second year on the JFS board, where she has served on the Fund Development Committee, chaired the Spring Gala and was a Co-Chair of the 2016 Food4Kids Annual Event. JFS would also like to welcome new Board members Jacquie Slater and Ruth Ann Ornstein. We thank Betsy Fiske, Lori Ann Brass, Joe Adler, outgoing Board members, for their years of service.
