Giving Opportunities

JFSGNH is grateful to all of our supporters, donors and volunteers. You make a difference in the lives of so many. Each year, your assistance provides support, stability and solutions for thousands of people in our local community.

There are many ways you can help us to fulfill our mission. Your gift can help keep the memory of loved ones alive, leave a legacy in your name, and touch the lives of others in the local community.

Please Donate
If you would like to make a one-time or monthly cash donation, you may do so at any time. You can specify what program (e.g., Food Pantry, Counseling, Elderly), you would like the donation to be used for or you can select “General Fund,” and the agency will place the funding where it is most needed. JFSGNH Tribute Card

Tribute Cards
There is no better way to honor and recognize the ones you love and respect than with a Tribute Card from JFSGNH. For weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, B’nai Mitzvot, and sympathy in remembrance at times of loss, Tribute Cards honor those close to you while also supporting the work of JFSGNH. With each tribute card donation, we send a beautiful card acknowledging your thoughtfulness to the person you are recognizing. To send a Tribute Card, click here.

Our Annual Fundraisers:
Friends Campaign: Our largest fundraiser of the year, which begins in early fall, raises funds to support the many wonderful programs and services offered by JFS.

Thanksgiving Campaign: The funds we raise help to provide beautiful, abundant holiday baskets filled with traditional food, including both fresh and non-perishable items, for hundreds of local families on Thanksgiving.

Spring Celebration:
This annual community event brings our supporters together to raise awareness about our JFS programs which assist individuals and families in need.

Passover Campaign: Delicious, Kosher for Passover holiday food is provided to over 85 families during Passover.

Food Pantry Donations
The JFSGNH Food Pantry & Nutritional Health Center distributes nearly 100,000 lbs. of non-perishable food, fresh produce and fruits, frozen fish/meats, and toiletries annually to residents of Greater New Haven. The Pantry accepts donations of newly purchased non-perishable foods and toiletries. To schedule a donation drop off, contact Sandy Hagan at or call her at 203-397-0796.

Food4Kids provides supplemental, nutritious, ready to eat food to children in the New Haven Schools who are at nutritional risk. The food items are pre-packaged and placed in the children’s backpack every Friday afternoon for weekend use.  Sponsorship of one child is $200 per academic year and can be made by scrolling to Food4Kids on  our Donate Now page.   This program is a joint venture of JFSGNH and Women’s Philanthropy Division of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven.
